Ed originally joined us on an industrial placement from the University of Durham. He's in the final stages of completing his BSc in Accounting, while working towards his Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) qualification. As he advances, Ed eagerly anticipates finalising the 'Professional Level' of his qualification following his graduation in summer and plans to re-join Sanctoras full-time permanently.

Throughout his first year with us Ed was instrumental in advising on a wide spectrum of matters, from residence and domicile to inheritance tax planning, succession, family governance, and tax-efficient company restructuring. His affinity for compliance matters is clear, and he finds real fulfilment in collaborating closely with individuals and trustees, ensuring alignment with HMRC’s requirements.

Prior to university, Ed gained experience at a notable 'Top Ten' firm. Now he is working at Sanctoras - a boutique business - he relishes working closely with clients and their professional advisors, finding great satisfaction in honing his technical expertise. .

James Heathcote, Founder and CEO of Sanctoras, offers a testament to Ed's capabilities: "Undoubtedly, Ed is a rising star in tax and accounting. He has seamlessly integrated into the Sanctoras team, thanks to his exceptional demeanour, growing technical knowledge, and skill. Ed's popularity is a direct reflection of his personable approach and the value he brings to both clients and our team."

Since joining Sanctoras Ed has taken full advantage of the opportunities available to him, proving  himself time and again more than equal to any responsibilities he is given. He has also made the most of our flexible working opportunities; taking a month away from London to explore Bali, whilst still maintaining the high quality service and responsiveness our clients expect.

When not working, studying or travelling, Ed is likely to be found either completing laps in the pool or drinking copious amounts of coffee.
